Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking to recruit a Logistics Coordinator / Accounts Administrator with experience of working within a SME sized business, and ideally with experience of manufacturing & engineering industries.
We want an individual who enjoys interacting with people to join our existing team and be part of the next stage of our development. You will ideally have logistics experience covering international shipments, temporary import & export and Letters of Credit, combined with elements of bookkeeping. You will need to be personable and able to develop immediate rapport. You will be an enthusiastic and capable individual whose internal relationships will be as important as those with your suppliers/ clients.
The Role
You will be part of the OSIL team communicating internally with staff and also directly with our clients and suppliers. Responsible for sending shipments globally on a daily basis with the corresponding data entry and record keeping.
Daily Tasks
- Arranging international freight & shipping for outgoing orders.
- Liaising with freight companies on temporary and permanent import.
- Upkeep of internal import and export logs.
- Internal order processing, raising Invoices and all relevant corresponding paperwork associated with the shipment.
- Process sales and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Code and post purchase invoices onto the accounting system
- Agree supplier statements to accounting system, action discrepancies.
- Chase outstanding proforma payments to keep orders moving and cash flowing
- General administration to support the business.
- This is a varied role therefore it is important you have office experience within a SME. Ideally you can hit the ground running so the business can continue to run efficiently.
Experience & Qualifications
- Computer literate, strong working knowledge of SAGE, MS Office including Excel & Outlook.
- Be able to work to deadlines and have excellent organisational skills and have a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Numerate and analytical with high accuracy and attention to detail critical.
- Proven experience of success in a highly administrative role, in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a dynamic work environment
