Axion Biosystems UK headquarters based in Oxford; UK is home to major process related Operations for Manufacturing.
This position is for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Production Technical Operator to assist the successful output of the Production line for a high quality, high value/hi-tech electronic Product. The Technical Operator will be involved in the operating of Laser processing equipment, Ink-jet / Screen Printing equipment, Wet Chemistry Process equipment , FPC Bonding and Lens Lamination equipment, Final Inspection and Functional Testing , Product preparation and Packing operations , where required, as well as Quality Control testing involving microscopy and other techniques to analyse the quality of the manufacturing process. No previous experience is necessary but an advantage and there will be a strong element of training. However, it will be a considerable advantage if the candidate possesses a basic understanding of electronics and experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set-up and successful operation of the following equipment where required:
- o Inkjet Printing/Curing – [Bio – Touch]
- o Screen Printing of Materials / Cure – [Bio]
- o Wet Chemistry Etching and Cleaning – [Touch]
- o Laser processing- [Bio -Touch]
- o Photolithography – [Bio]
- o Glass Scribe and Break – [Touch]
- o Flex-Circuit Bonding – [Touch]
- o Functional Testing – [Bio-Touch]
- o Sensor Clean and Inspection [Touch-Bio]
- o Optical bonding of Lens to Sensor [Touch]
- Ensuring agreed Production Output Targets are met by way of lean Manufacturing in specific areas highlighted above.
- Help to maintain ISO:7 Cleanroom Standards and Protocols within the Bio Sensor / Touch Panel Manufacturing Environment during Operations.
- Share responsibility in maintaining up-time and optimisation on key Production Equipment i.e. Inkjet; Laser; Screen Printing; Wet Chemistry; Glass Cutting; Lamination and Bonding utilising the Positrol Techniques and providing timely feedback to Equipment Engineering when necessary.
- Participate in ensuring all In-process Quality Standards are maintained, helping in Internal Audit Plans and data records [ Batch Route Cards] compliant to existing ISO 9001: 2015 accreditation.
- Process Control Monitoring using: Microscopy, Electrical Testing, full IPQC and Six Sigma Methodologies.
