Part-Time Seasonal Team Member
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated person to join our team for the busy winter season.
This is a part-time seasonal position, expected to run from approximately mid-October until the end of December. Working hours will vary according to business needs, so there are no fixed or guaranteed weekly hours. Flexibility is important, particularly during busy periods, evenings and weekends where required.

Isle of Avalon is an independent fragrance brand based in Brighton’s Hanningtons Lane. We develop and produce our collection, including personal fragrance, candles, reed diffusers and 3D-printed home accessories in our Brighton boutique.
Our products are made in small batches, with a focus on quality, thoughtful design and attention to detail. Sustainability and reuse are central to our approach, from our refillable candles and fragrances to home accessories produced using recycled materials.
We’re a small, hands-on business that takes pride in the products we make, the presentation of our store and providing every customer with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Key responsibilities
- Providing friendly and helpful customer service
- Working independently and confidently in a retail environment
- Producing and manufacturing goods in-store to the required standards
- Supporting the team with general day-to-day duties
- Keeping the shop and production areas clean, organised and presentable
- Managing tasks efficiently and using initiative during quieter and busier periods
- Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
What we’re looking for
- Someone comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
- A proactive approach and the confidence to use their own initiative
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliability and punctuality
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Flexibility with working days and hours
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
- Previous retail or production experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided
There may be an opportunity for the position to continue beyond the seasonal period, depending on individual performance and the needs of the business.
Location: Hanningtons Lane, Brighton
Pay: £14 per hour
Expected start date: Mid-October
Seasonal period: Mid-October to the end of December
