People Advisor
Hybrid Role
1-2 days per week based in Doncaster
£32,000 per annum + discretionary annual bonus of up to £2,000
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Advisor to join the growing and dynamic People team at Milewood Healthcare.
This role sits at the centre of day-to-day People delivery, providing essential operational HR support while acting as a trusted advisor to managers across the organisation. You will support employee relations matters, absence management and HR administration, while leading the shared People inbox and contributing to key People projects.
As a forward-thinking HR professional, you will bring energy, autonomy and a solutions-focused approach, adding value in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the shared People inbox, triaging queries and escalating where appropriate.
- Provide timely, accurate advice to managers on generalist HR matters.
- Support low-level employee relations cases, including grievance and disciplinary processes.
- Monitor and support attendance management, working proactively with managers.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the People Business Partner and Director of People & Culture.
- Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring accuracy of employee records.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Lead on HR administration and support the smooth running of day-to-day People operations.
- Support the People Business Partner in the delivery of People projects and organisational initiatives.
- Assist in developing and improving HR policies and processes.
- Act as a change champion, supporting engagement and cultural initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to promote best practice.
About You
Essential
- CIPD Level 3 (or above), or equivalent HR qualification.
- Strong HR generalist experience, with a focus on employee relations.
- Experience within the social care sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to services as required.
Desirable
- Experience writing HR policies.
- Experience implementing or improving digital HR systems.
What We Offer
- Salary of £32,000 per annum.
- Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus of up to £2,000, paid quarterly following successful completion of probation and subject to the achievement of agreed KPIs.
- Hybrid working, with 2 days per week based in our Doncaster office.
