Job Summary & Mission
This job contributes to Resso Holdings Limited t/a Subway success by leading a team of partners (employees) to create and maintain the Subway experience for our customers and all partners. The Store Trainer is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in overseeing the overall operation of the store by spending the majority of your time training and directing the workforce, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, supporting Managers with understanding the store’s financial performance and maximizing store profitability, and ensuring team adhearing to safety and security within the store. You will be training between 5-8 Subway stores across Northampton, Peterborough, Spalding, Loughborough and occasional travel to Nottingham.
Overview of Key Responsibilites
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Leadership – Setting goals for the store team, developing organizational capability and developing how work is completed:
- Trains and holds all employees accountable for delivering exceptional customer.
- Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to the store employees.
- Supports and ensure Managers adhere company standards of integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture values and mission of Resso Holdings Limited.
- Provides coaching and direction to the store team to take action and to achieve operational goals.
Managing Operations & Measuring Results:
- Communicates clearly, concisely, accurately and professionally at all times.
- Constantly monitors and train Store managers on store staffing levels to ensure sales are driven forward and maximized, and to ensure partner development and talent.
- Ensuring Managers are complying with and maintained at all times the Hours of Operation established for the store.
- Train and support Store managers to achieve efficient ordering methods to ensure availability of required menu items, and to ensure a proper balance of goods in inventory.
- Attends all meetings and other business functions as mandated by the Company.
- Regularly support Store Managers to inspects equipment and fixtures, inside and outside the store, to ensure they are in proper working order and good condition.
Executing functional responsibilities:
- Regularly utilizes management information tools and analyze paperwork on a daily, weekly and period basis, to identify and address trends and issues in store performance and support Store managers to put in place corrective action.
- Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the store.
- Ensures Store Managers adherence to Subway compliance standards, with particular focus on those standards relating to food safety.
Team Member Development/Team Building: – Providing staff with coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:
- Challenges and inspires staff members to achieve business results.
- Ensures staff members adhere to legal compliance requirements.
- Ensures staff members adhere to all established Subway operational standards.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with store team. Support Managers to manage store staff members by regularly by attending and/or conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve staff member’s performance. Support Managers to manage ongoing staff performance.
- Train Store managers with understanding, utilizing effective management policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel regularly between stores.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in QSR environment, experience in supervising and training staff.
