Archerfield Walled Garden is a family-owned business in the heart of East Lothian. We are a leisure, retail and café destination attracting customers from across Edinburgh, the Lothians and further afield.
Our Garden Café is a popular attraction within the Walled Garden and is a fast-paced, busy and fun environment to work in. The front of house team in the Café is close-knit and relies on teamwork to ensure a smooth operation, especially during busy service. The Role
We're looking for a friendly, hardworking candidate to join our Café team. This is a flexible role with hours to suit — we're looking for someone who can commit to 2 to 3 days per week, between 14 and 21 hours. Shifts will be daytime, working across our café floor, counter and service areas.
A typical weekday shift includes:
- Running food to the table
- Working the counter serving cold food
- Taking food and drink orders at the till
- Making coffees at our barista station
- Keeping pace with a fast-moving service
- Supporting the team across the floor
What We're Looking For
Experience in hospitality or a café/restaurant environment is ideal, but we're more interested in the right person than a specific background. If you're warm, reliable and take pride in what you do, we'd love to hear from you.

- A calm, confident approach when service gets busy
- Strong communication skills, with customers, and the team
