Job description
Full Time Permanent Garden Centre and Foodhall Sales Assistant. This may lead to a supervisory position for the right candidate. Glendoick Garden Centre , on A90 between Perth and Dundee.
30 to 38 hours per week. Working 8 or 10 days out of 14 including every second weekend.
The Role
Customer service on garden centre tills and in foodhall, answering phone.
Foodhall days working in our busy foodhall and cookshop:
Oversee stock replenishment and merchandising across retail shop floor.
Supporting management to ensure the safe and secure operation of the Foodhall.
Deputise when the Foodhall Manager is not on duty.
Foodhall Opening & closing procedure.
Meeting all Food Safety and Hygiene requirements.
Checking/booking in stock and ordering.
Till operation and serving customers.
Oversee general housekeeping and cleaning as required.
Moving stock from delivery points to Foodhall. Heavy lifting is involved.
Use of Microsoft office, essential, & Opsuite till system, will be given training. Computer knowledge a must.
Collating Social Media content for foodhall marketing.
Qualities Required
Friendly, with strong customer service skills.
Retail skills and experience
Hardworking and able to do a physical job on your feet:
Shift flexibility including weekends.
The ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
Knowledge of EPOS systems desirable
