We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Education Support Staff to join our team.
This rewarding role focuses on helping young people engage in learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes. Working closely with teachers and the wider school team, you will provide personalised support that enables pupils to overcome barriers to learning and make progress both academically and personally.
The role will involve supporting pupils both within the school environment and, where appropriate, through off-site activities, interventions and educational visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support and supervision for pupils, helping them engage positively with learning.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist in the delivery of learning activities and intervention programmes.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families and external professionals.
- Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Support educational visits, enrichment activities and off-site learning opportunities where required.
- Assist pupils in working towards individual learning, behaviour and wellbeing targets.
We are looking for someone resilient, empathetic and passionate about supporting young people.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs (desirable).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in managing behaviour positively and calmly.
- A good standard of education, including GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Good IT skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, insured for business use, as the role may involve transporting pupils and supporting off-site activities and interventions.

£26,440 - £27,510 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
