- Analyse software requirements, technical specifications and acceptance criteria to identify testing requirements.
- Design, prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test scripts and test data.
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing of software applications and IT systems.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software functionality, reliability, performance and quality.
- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts and testing frameworks where appropriate.
- Identify, investigate, reproduce and document software defects, system failures and inconsistencies.
- Record and manage defects using appropriate defect-tracking systems, including severity, priority and reproduction details.
- Work with software developers and technical teams to investigate defects and verify corrective actions.
- Retest resolved defects and perform regression testing following software changes, upgrades and new releases.
- Verify that software applications and systems meet documented functional, technical and quality requirements.
- Monitor testing results and software quality metrics to identify recurring issues and areas for improvement.
- Produce test reports, defect reports and quality-assurance documentation for technical teams and stakeholders.
- Assess testing outcomes and identify unresolved quality risks before software releases and deployments.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of software testing procedures, quality standards and testing methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence of testing, defect resolution and quality-assurance activities.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
