Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes to meet specified standards and presentation guidelines
- Assist in the organisation and management of designated sections within the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations before, during, and after service
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to the head chef
- Support junior staff with training and guidance as required
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas based on current trends and seasonal ingredients
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Demonstrable skills in meal preparation and culinary techniques
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
