Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy restaurant team. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment operating day time only.
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently, supporting chefs during service.
Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment quickly and efficiently
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all kitchen areas
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation (e.g. peeling and chopping vegetables)
- Ensuring a steady supply of clean utensils during busy service times
- Emptying bins and managing waste and recycling correctly
- Receiving and storing deliveries safely
- Following all food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Supporting the wider kitchen team as needed
Skills
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is a bonus, but not essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good team player with a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long periods
