Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Rhymes Nursery in Dudley. In this role, you will support our kitchen operations by preparing meals and ensuring food safety standards are met, contributing to the well-being of the children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Ensure food safety standards are strictly followed.
- Carry out the food preparation and serving.
- Help manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with staff to meet the nutritional needs of children.
- Contribute to a positive and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation or catering, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and team spirit.
- Flexibility to support various tasks as needed.
- Basic understanding of nutrition is a plus.
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is desirable.
