Class 2 HGV Driver – General Haulage, Nationwide & Europe (Full‑/Part‑Time)

Role Overview:
As a Class 2 HGV Driver with us, you'll be responsible for transporting goods—ranging from general freight to removal items—on national and European routes. Routes may include same-day, multi-drop, long-distance, and occasional onwards Europe runs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles for general haulage, removal work, and tramping routes.
- Deliver and collect goods across the UK, with occasional travel into Europe.
- Perform vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance.
- Load/unload goods securely; use wheeled or palletised handling—some removal jobs may involve manual lifting.
- Complete and maintain accurate logbooks, load manifests, and any necessary paperwork.
- Follow all relevant HGV regulations: tachograph, driving/rest hours, CPC compliance.
- Provide professional, courteous interaction with clients at collections and deliveries.
- Report any defects, delays, or safety incidents immediately via the company processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Class 2 (C) HGV licence with a clean driving record.
- Current Drivers’ CPC qualification and valid Driver CPC Card.
- Digital or analogue tachograph card in-date.
- Previous experience in general haulage, tramping, removal work, or long-distance driving.
- Strong route planning capacity and familiarity with motorway and continental driving.
- High levels of reliability, professionalism, and customer interaction.
- Physically able to safely handle loading/unloading when required.
- Knowledge of EU road regulations, including cabotage and driving rest requirements.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Full UK working rights, including for cross-border travel to the EU.
