About the Role:
Lisburn continues to grow as a centre for construction, infrastructure and commercial development, and at RCA Construction and Infrastructure Ltd, we help deliver the projects that support that growth.
We provide civil engineering, construction and infrastructure services across Northern Ireland, working on commercial developments, infrastructure improvements, drainage systems, groundworks and site development projects.
We are looking for a Civil Engineer who can support projects from initial planning through to successful completion. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure that engineering works are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently.
This is a practical mid level role for an engineer who enjoys solving site challenges, coordinating technical information and seeing projects progress from drawings to completed structures.

Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Design Support:
Prepare and review technical drawings, calculations, specifications and construction documentation for civil engineering works.
Site Coordination:
Attend project sites, monitor engineering activities and ensure works are completed in line with approved drawings and specifications.
Technical Problem Solving:
Identify construction and engineering issues and develop practical solutions in collaboration with project and site teams.
Project Documentation:
Maintain accurate engineering records, progress reports, inspection documents and technical files.
Quality Assurance:
Support inspections and ensure that materials, workmanship and completed works meet project quality requirements.
Health and Safety:
Promote safe working practices and ensure engineering activities follow company procedures and relevant health and safety regulations.
Contractor Coordination:
Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
Programme Support:
Assist project managers with planning, scheduling, resource coordination and monitoring project progress.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure engineering works comply with applicable building regulations, planning conditions, environmental requirements and industry standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or a related engineering environment.
Education:
A degree or recognised qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
Technical Knowledge:
A good understanding of groundworks, drainage, roads, utilities, concrete works and general construction methods.
Software Skills:
Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and civil engineering or project management software.
Site Experience:
Confidence working on active construction sites and communicating with site supervisors, contractors and project teams.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
Organisation:
The ability to manage several responsibilities, maintain accurate documentation and meet project deadlines.
Problem Solving:
A practical and analytical approach to resolving technical and site based challenges.
Pay: £45,284.00-£50,000.00 per year
