Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Night Shift Care Assistant and play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care during the overnight hours. You will work closely with colleagues to assist residents with their needs, and promote a warm, secure atmosphere in our care home setting.
Duties
- Support residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility during the night shift
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with care plans and company policies
- Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular checks and supervising their movements
- Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and emergency services when necessary
- Support residents’ emotional needs through active listening, companionship, and reassurance
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and team members
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to health and safety protocols
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents’ quality of life
