Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the legal industry? We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our friendly Conveyancing team as a Legal Conveyancing Assistant.
No previous conveyancing experience is required. If you're eager to learn, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. Full training will be provided.
About the Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you'll support our experienced conveyancers with the day-to-day running of residential property transactions, helping clients move home as smoothly as possible.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the conveyancing team with administrative tasks.
- Speaking with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers and solicitors via telephone and email.
- Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
- Opening new client files and carrying out compliance checks.
- Requesting searches and other documentation.
- Updating our case management system.
- Keeping clients informed throughout their transaction.
- General office administration and supporting the wider team.
What We're Looking For
We don't expect you to know conveyancing, we'll teach you that. We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, professional and approachable.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
- Able to prioritise tasks and work in a busy environment.
- Keen to learn and develop a long-term career within the legal sector.
- A positive team player with a proactive attitude.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Previous office, administration or customer service experience.
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- An interest in law or the property industry.
