We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Dance Club Instructor / Supervisor to lead a weekly after-school Dance Club at a primary school in Brighouse, Huddersfield (HD6). This role gives children the opportunity to express themselves through movement while building confidence, coordination, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.
The club will run weekly after school, 3:25pm – 4:15pm, starting from the beginning of June onwards (day to be confirmed).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in engaging, age-appropriate dance sessions.
- Plan and deliver fun routines and activities that develop rhythm, movement, coordination, and confidence.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, participation, and teamwork through dance.
- Support children in building confidence and enjoying performance in a positive environment.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children’s participation and progress.
- Ensure the activity space and any equipment are safe, organised, and prepared for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience teaching dance or leading movement-based activities for children in schools, clubs, or similar settings.
- Ability to engage and inspire young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- A background in dance, performing arts, education, or child-focused coaching is desirable.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
