Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join on a project Downton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in both residential and commercial settings. A valid driving licence is essential for this position as it may require travel to various job sites.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while on-site.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople as required on larger projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting is preferred.
- Physical CSCS card
- Own tools and Transport
- 3 point PPE, including gloves and chin strap.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A valid driving licence is required for travel to various locations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and application techniques would be advantageous.
