Forth Resource Management are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual to join our team as a loading shovel driver. We recycle organic material from gardens and local authorities into a range of horticultural products. During the spring and summer we are extremely busy and we need someone who is proactive and works well within a team.
The base will be our recycling centre at Todhills, Old Dalkeith Road, Edinburgh, but you will be expected to work at our other sites across the central belt of Scotland and the Scottish Borders. Transport will be provided for this.
Requirements
- Experienced telehandler / loading shovel operator - must hold NPORS or CPCS
- Carrying out checks to ensure that machines are kept in excellent condition.
- Loading vehicles with products.
- Maintaining standards of recycling bays and removing contamination (plastic, etc).
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with flexibility to take on a variety of roles on site
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Driving License
Additional Beneficial Skills
- Experience operating other plant machines – star screen, trommels, shredders
Hours
Summer hours: Monday to Friday 7.15am – 5pm
Winter hours: Monday to Friday 7.15am – 4pm
Wage will be dependent on experience. There is the opportunity to develop, and we will provide training for any additional machinery operation required.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour (reviewed after probationary period).
Overtime available.
