Who we are looking for:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our West Bromwich site.
Reporting to the Financial Controller/Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial controls and providing valuable commercial insight to support strategic decision-making across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to partner with operational teams to drive performance, improve processes and influence business decisions.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting analysis.
- Produce weekly Profit & Loss reporting, sales and margin analysis, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Complete balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations across UK and Israeli entities.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register, capital expenditure and depreciation accounting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities.
- Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
- Support VAT, P11D, National Insurance reporting and statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits and annual stock counts.
- Provide meaningful financial insight and business partnering support to operational stakeholders.
- Lead and support the Accounts Payable team, ensuring workloads and deadlines are effectively managed.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the level of the role.
What you bring:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
- Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
- Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, including Profit & Loss reporting and variance analysis.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Experience managing intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and supporting effective cash flow management.
- Experience managing Fixed Asset Registers, capital expenditure, asset capitalisation and depreciation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
