Fundraising and Engagement Manager
Salary: £31,037
Hours: 37 hours per week (full time)
Contract: Permanent
Probation period: Six months
Location: The Foxton Centre Preston, hybrid working and flexible working including compacted hours will be considered.
Report to: Youth and Community Manager
Purpose: Overseeing and implementing all aspects of fundraising and grant delivery/ reporting, supporter stewardship, and the fundraising strategy. .

We are seeking a strong networker and relationship builder who has a track record of generating significant revenue from trusts, grant making bodies and companies as well as building a supporter network for individual fundraising. You will be a creative thinker, and above all will be dedicated to the well-being and empowerment of young people. Job Description
Grant Fundraising
- Lead on researching and compiling funding applications to trusts, foundations and public sources working alongside service managers.
- Using our reporting system and case studies develop compelling cases for support for our work
- Support co-production, consultation and stakeholder research activities to build evidence and cases for support.
- Build and maintain relationships with key funding bodies through good and timely communications.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the funding climate within the sectors we operate.
- With the management team, ensure that the charity delivers on commitments to funders, and that all funding partnerships reach their maximum potential.
Individual and Corporate Fundraising
- Research prospects and devise targeted strategies and communications to build corporate partnerships.
- Develop strategies and campaigns to encourage new networks and giving potential.
- Work with our supporter network using good communications to build campaigns to attract individual and corporate giving.
- Steward donors and corporate partners to maximise ongoing giving.
- Develop and manage the CRM system including donor/partner records, contact permissions and donations information in-line with GDPR regulations.
Management Responsibilities
- Lead in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy in line with Foxton Centres’ Business Plan.
- Lead in developing and delivering targets for grant and fundraising income supporting the business planning and reporting process.
- Work with Finance Team to monitor funding gaps.
- Attend and contribute to management team meetings.
- Attend and report at board and sub-board meetings as required.
Communication and Advocacy
- Lead on developing communication strategies and meetings to build fundraising partnerships and networks.
- Attend appropriate conferences, networking events, workshops and other events beneficial to generating funding.
- Communicate with supporters
General organisational input
- Be a strong advocate for the organisation’s work and its ambitions.
- Undertake training as required by the organisation and/ or the role.
- Support in the smooth running of the organisation.
- Attend internal and external meetings and as required.
- Represent the organisation at external events.
- Carry out other duties from time-to-time as deemed appropriate by the CEO.
This post requires occasional evening and weekend work. We will take a flexible approach to working ours and the balance between working in the office and at home.
