Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team here at Forss House Hotel currently 2AA. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods
- Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner, adhering to service standards
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in presentation and quality control
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
