Castleview Cars is a growing and dynamic car dealership based in Windsor. We pride ourselves on delivering quality vehicles and excellent customer service. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Accountant to take ownership of our financial operations and support the Managing Director.
The Role
This is a key position within the business, offering real responsibility and the opportunity to improve and shape financial processes. You will manage day-to-day accounting while providing accurate reporting and insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping, ledgers, and financial records
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow reports, and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including bank reconciliations
- Handle VAT returns, payroll coordination, and statutory filings
- Oversee vehicle invoicing, margin scheme accounting, and stock reconciliation
- Liaise with external accountants and HMRC
- Implement and maintain financial controls and efficient systems
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Requirements
- Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is essential
- Motor trade experience is advantageous but not required
- Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
