Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional specialising in bathroom adaptations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for modifying and installing bathroom fixtures and fittings to improve accessibility and functionality, ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, applying a range of technical skills to deliver high-quality solutions for clients requiring specialised bathroom modifications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of existing bathroom spaces to determine adaptation requirements
- Install, repair, and modify bathroom fixtures such as grab rails, walk-in showers, raised toilets, and non-slip flooring
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Perform welding and assembly work as needed for customised fittings or structural modifications
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met within designated timeframes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation processes
- Assist with the planning and measurement of materials required for each project using basic maths skills
Skills
- Proficiency in plumbing, carpentry, tiling and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to bathroom adaptations and modifications
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform accurate measurements using basic maths
- Experience in assembly work for customised fixtures or structural components
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working in confined spaces
- Knowledge of health and safety standards applicable to building sites and adaptation projects
- Organised with excellent attention to detail to ensure precise installation and quality workmanship
This role is ideal for individuals with a background in building trades or specialised adaptation work who are committed to delivering accessible solutions that enhance client wellbeing. All positions are paid, including internships.
Own tools are essential, ideally a van but we could provide one if necessary.
