Job Summary
South Devon Dental Practice is an independently owned, large sized private Dental Practice, located in Paignton, Devon. The Practice is part of a growing and independently owned Dental Practice Cluster, which currently boasts 6 practices across Devon.
The Practice has a large private patient base and focuses on delivering outstanding patient care and experience at every stage of each patient’s interactions with the Practice, with the Hygienist’s role being an integral part of this.
Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for a competent, confident and dynamic Hygienist/Hygiene Therapist to help drive forward our patient experience model and the prevention led aspect of our practice. This is all to help encourage a successful and profitable Dental practice. The successful candidate will work closely with the whole team, to assist in the delivery of outstanding patient care and experience on an ongoing and consistent basis.
Specifics of the role:
- Thursday and/or Friday (09:00-17:00) additional days could be negotiated.
- Self employed position.
- Up 35% of FPI.
- Dental Nurse support.
- Dentally appointments system.
- Modern & well equipped surgeries.
- EMS airflow unit
- Practice & Business Manager's in place.
- Growing Patient plan direct database.
Please find below the standard requirements for the role holder:
- Active registration with the GDC, with no investigations active or pending.
- In date indemnity insurance.
- Immunity against Hepatitis B.
- Be able to prove your right to work in the UK.
Requirements of the role:
- Someone who puts the patient's overall experience at the centre of everything they do.
- Open, forward thinking and an excellent communicator.
- A person who can forge productive and long lasting relationships with Dentists.
- Someone who values the whole Dental team and realises delivering superb patient care is not 'just about the dentistry.'
- Have good IT skills and able to use dental software and cloud-based technology competently.
