Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our existing team. Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service
- Support the kitchen team with food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Prepare ingredients and basic components of dishes under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Assist with serving meals to guests or customers as required
- Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
- Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends or evenings if required
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn new skills
