Responsibilities
- Operate shot blasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces efficiently and safely
- Set up and adjust blasting machines according to project specifications and surface requirements
- Inspect finished surfaces for quality, ensuring proper texture and cleanliness
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing tools, materials, and debris regularly
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with basic fabrication tasks such as grinding, sanding, or assembly as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or parts
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot shot blasting machinery
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and basic fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with warehouse operations or manufacturing environments is preferred
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments
- Prior experience in construction painting, assembly, or related trades is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times
- Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work in a physically active role
