Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Porter to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while maintaining the cleanliness, security and organisation of the premises. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as working alone.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms.
- Ensure that all guest requests are handled promptly and efficiently, providing exceptional service at all times.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or functions held on the premises.
- Monitor the condition of facilities and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
- Provide information about local attractions, services, and amenities to enhance the guest experience.
- Uphold hotel standards of cleanliness and safety in all tasks performed.
- Serve basic food and drinks over the course of the night.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette to handle guest inquiries effectively.
- Previous or guest services is advantageous but not essential.
- Previous experience in serving food and drink is helpful but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
