Role Description
This is a full-time, office-based Sales Administrator role at our offices in Bridgend.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Head of Sales and the wider sales team. The focus of the role is keeping the sales function organised and accurate: preparing quotations and paperwork, keeping the CRM system up to date, handling incoming enquiries, arranging meetings, assisting with tender and framework paperwork, and making sure nothing is missed or left outstanding.
This is an entry level position and full training will be provided. Previous sales experience is not required. We are looking for someone organised, accurate and reliable, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
For the right person there is a clear opportunity to develop. As product knowledge and confidence grow, there is scope to take on customer contact, look after a small number of accounts and progress towards a sales role in the future. That progression is available but not a requirement of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day to day administrative support to the Head of Sales and the sales team..
- Prepare quotations, order paperwork, proposals and presentations using existing templates..
- Enter and maintain information in the CRM system, keeping customer records, contacts and opportunities accurate and up to date..
- Monitor the sales inbox, log incoming enquiries and pass them to the appropriate member of the team..
- Chase outstanding quotations, paperwork and information on behalf of the sales team..
- Arrange customer meetings, demonstrations and calls, and circulate notes and follow up actions..
- Assist with tender, framework and procurement submissions by gathering documents, completing standard sections and tracking deadlines..
- Produce regular sales reports from the CRM system, including activity, pipeline and renewal information..
- Support the set up and onboarding of new customers alongside the operations and technical teams..
- Maintain sales documentation, price lists and standard templates..
- Handle general administrative tasks for the team, including filing, records and correspondence..
- Work alongside marketing, technical and customer support colleagues to make sure customer queries are dealt with promptly..
- Build an understanding of Clenergy EV products and the EV charging market over time..
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Some experience in an administrative, office support, customer service or similar role..
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and a confident, professional telephone manner.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Able to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- Willing to learn, take instruction and ask questions..
Desirable
- Experience using a CRM system such as HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.
- Previous experience supporting a sales, commercial or account management team.
- Experience in a B2B or office-based technology, energy or professional services environment.
- Exposure to tenders, frameworks or public sector paperwork.
- Interest in technology, sustainability or electric vehicles.
