Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation and cooking tasks to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all processes
- Supporting the team with meal assembly and presentation according to established recipes and standards
- Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
- Assisting with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
- Serving meals to customers in a courteous and efficient manner when required
- Following all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for staff and customers
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience with meal preparation, including handling various ingredients and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers when necessary
- Practical understanding of kitchen equipment usage and maintenance is advantageous
