Location: Various Broiler Farms (Mobile Role)
Hours: 40 hours per week, working any 5 days out of 7
Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour
The Role
As a Farm Assistant (Mobile), you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of bird welfare, farm hygiene, and site performance. You will travel to various broiler farms and support day-to-day farm activities to ensure birds are cared for in line with company standards and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day care and welfare of poultry, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.

Assist with farm operations including bird weighing, vaccination, catching, and collection activities.

Monitor environmental conditions such as ventilation, heating, feed, water, and lighting to promote bird health and performance.

Maintain accurate records relating to birds, feed, supplies, and farm activities.

Ensure high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, biosecurity, and farm presentation.

Operate and carry out basic maintenance checks on farm equipment, reporting any faults or repair requirements.

Follow company procedures, health and safety policies, and environmental practices, including waste reduction and recycling initiatives.

Work closely with the Farm Manager and wider farm team to support flock performance, continuous improvement, and efficient farm operations.

Contribute to farm security by monitoring site access and following security procedures.

Participate in training and development activities to build skills and knowledge in poultry production.

Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the operation of the farm.

Previous agricultural or poultry experience is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.

Full UK driving licence preferred due to the mobile nature of the role.
