ALS People are looking for a full time Class 2 HGV Driver to transport the waste from the HWRC sites we manage in Northamptonshire to the relevant disposal sites.
Duties
- Ensure safe transport of waste to specific tipping destinations
- Ensure Drivers Hours are followed correctly
- To download tachograph card each drive to ensure compliance with legislation
- To complete paperwork correctly to ensure compliance with legislation
- Complete vehicle checks daily to ensure safe use
- Undertake any training necessary as part of the duties required
- Report all Health and Safety incidents in accordance with Company guidelines
- Manage and implement site policies as directed on sites and 3rd party sites
- All work to be carried out in accordance with company policies, risk assessments and safe working practices.
- The post holder must comply with the Company Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety at Work policies plus any other relevant policies of the organisation
- To carry out other duties and responsibilities as are commensurate with the grade of the post subject to any reasonable adjustments under the Disability Discrimination Act.
Requirements
- Hard working

- Able to work in a team or under own supervision
- Valid driving license (Category C or Class 2)
- Valid CPC & Tachograph Card
- Customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
- Flexible and adaptable
Shift pattern: Saturday and Sunday 6:45 - 16:30/finish time in Sixfields NN5
30 min unpaid break
Bank Holidays pay rate £23.60ph
Pay: £15.73 per hour
