HGV Class 1 Day Driver – Burton upon Trent

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support our client's transport operations at their operation in the Burton upon Trent area.
This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 drivers looking for regular day shifts, ongoing work and competitive hourly rates with an established transport operation.
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, your duties may include:
- Trunking and multi-drop deliveries
- Driving Class 1 vehicles with predominantly curtain-side trailers
- Local and regional deliveries
- Occasional longer-distance runs
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring loads and vehicles are operated safely
- Completing relevant delivery paperwork
- Providing a professional service when dealing with customers
- Complying with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
Pay Rates
£15.75 – £18.00 per hour, depending on the shift/day worked.

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Professional and safety-conscious approach
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Reliable attendance and flexibility
