Overview
We are seeking caring, compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide outstanding support to vulnerable individuals in their own homes throughout Swanley, Hextable, Crockenhill, Wilmington, Eynsford, Dartford, Sidcup, Bexley, Bexleyheath, Crayford, Welling, Orpington, St Mary Cray, Chislehurst and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or nursing home settings. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care upholding the values of the company.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care; bathing, dressing, toileting etc.
- Administering medication safely.
- Preparing meals tailored to the needs and choices of the client.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting with mobility, including safe moving and handling where required
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Assist with domestic chores.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to relevant healthcare professionals.
Skills
- Proven experience in home care or nursing home environments is desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices is desirable.
- Ability to prepare meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
- Experience in moving and handling is essential.
- A kind, patient and caring nature is very important.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal, non verbal and written, organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to provide gentle, respectful and person-centred care
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality support.
- First aid and medication training desirable
- Access to a vehicle for work is preferred however application from non drivers are welcomed.
