Print Finisher – Paid Internship

Looking for an opportunity to get into work and learn new skills?
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Production team at Bonacia for a 6-week paid internship placement, giving you the opportunity to gain real workplace experience and develop practical skills within a busy print business.
You don’t need previous print or production experience. We’re looking for people who are willing to learn, enjoy practical, hands-on work and want the opportunity to build their confidence and experience in the workplace.
What will you be doing?
As a Print Finisher Intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced Production team and learn how printed products are turned into finished books ready to be sent to our customers.
Your internship will include:
- Learning different book finishing and binding processes
- Helping to assemble books and printed products
- Supporting the team with general production work
- Learning how to check finished products meet our quality standards
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
- Working safely within a busy production environment
- Learning how different areas of our Production department work together
This is a practical and active role which involves spending time on your feet and regularly handling and lifting boxes, books and other production materials. Full training, including manual handling training, will be provided.
You’ll receive training and support throughout your internship, so no previous experience is required.

Eligibility
This is a funded internship opportunity, so there are specific eligibility requirements. To apply, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over – there is no upper age limit
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Be currently not working, not in education and not in training
- Live in the Peterborough area
Unfortunately, if you do not meet all of the above criteria, you will not be eligible for this particular funded opportunity.
What happens after the internship?
The aim of the internship is to help you develop practical skills, workplace experience and confidence that you can take forward into future employment.
You’ll leave the placement with genuine experience of working within a busy production environment and a better understanding of the types of roles available within print and manufacturing.
There may also be an opportunity to continue working with Bonacia after the internship. Depending on your performance, available opportunities and business needs at the time, this could include permanent employment or the opportunity to progress onto an apprenticeship.
