QA Engineer / Software Test Analyst
Location: Southport (Hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote post-probation)

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer / Software Test Analyst to join our growing development unit at Perfect Portal, an integral part of InfoTrack and the ATI Group.
In this position, you will safeguard the performance, stability, and user experience of our platforms across the entire software delivery lifecycle - ranging from feature validation and defect resolution to deployment support and process optimization.

What you’ll be doing

Design, execute, and maintain robust test plans, scenarios, and scripts.

Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor software bugs using Jira or comparable bug-tracking tools.

Re-test defect fixes to confirm full resolution prior to deployment.

Work alongside Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Tech Leads to turn requirements into testable criteria.

Active involvement in Agile practices, including sprint planning, refinements, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Validate new features against core acceptance standards and business requirements.

Conduct functional testing across web platforms and mobile applications.

Assist in release management by conducting thorough pre- and post-deployment validation.

Refine internal testing documentation, standards, and QA workflows.

Drive continuous improvement strategies to make testing efforts more efficient.

Communicate testing milestones, potential risks, and quality indicators to key stakeholders.

Partner with customer support teams to replicate and troubleshoot user-reported issues.
What we’re looking for
Core requirements:

Proven background in a QA Analyst, Software Tester, or QA Engineer role.

Firm grasp of both the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).

Hands-on experience performing manual cross-browser and mobile application testing.

Proficiency in writing structured test scripts and comprehensive test strategies.

Sound understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Hands-on experience using Jira or equivalent issue-tracking applications.

Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.

High attention to detail with a commitment to shipping reliable software.

Clear written and verbal communication skills for team-wide collaboration.

Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced software environment.
Bonus points for:

Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman).

Familiarity with automated test frameworks like Playwright or Qase.

Basic SQL skills for querying and validating database records.

Awareness of modern CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Working hours and location
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (standard hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch).-
Setup: Hybrid arrangement requiring 3 days per week in our modern Southport office, with up to 2 days working remotely.
