Job Summary
Using your knowledge of the local area to carry out deliveries to homes and businesses you'll provide excellent, friendly service to our customers. You’ll build relationships with customers and from time to time, you’ll also be asked to help support the team in store. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and the energy to get things done.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to customers or clients at designated locations within specified timeframes
- Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for upon receipt
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Follow company policies on safety, security, and confidentiality during all operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred but not essential.
- Valid driver’s licence is essential with a clean driving record preferred.
- Experience working in warehouse environments is beneficial
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns would be desirable
