Registered Manager – Pre-Permanence Service
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE | Rochdale
Our Client is an established, Ofsted-rated 'Good' children's residential care provider, delivering trauma-informed, therapeutic care for young people with complex needs. Having successfully built and run their first home in Bradford, they're now opening their second — a flagship pre-permanence service in Rochdale — and looking for an exceptional Registered Manager to register, open and lead it from day one.
This is a genuine opportunity to build something from the ground up: shape the team, embed the model of care, and establish a specialist service that supports children on their journey towards adoption, special guardianship or long-term fostering.
What you'll be doing:
- Registering and opening the new Rochdale home, holding Registered Manager status with Ofsted
- Recruiting, building and leading a skilled, stable staff team from the outset through to a settled service
- Delivering a specialist pre-permanence residential service for children moving towards adoption, special guardianship or long-term fostering
- Working closely with commissioners and independent fostering agencies to shape referral pathways
- Embedding a therapeutic, trauma-informed model of care across the home
What's on offer:
- £50,000 - £60,000 salary, dependent on experience
- Funded training, qualifications and genuine career progression within a growing organisation
- The chance to establish and lead a flagship specialist service, not just manage an existing one
- Comprehensive induction and ongoing mentoring from senior leadership
- Company pension scheme and a generous annual leave allowance
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or equivalent) within children's residential care
- Confidence leading a service from registration and launch through to a stable, high-performing team
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches to care
- Experience working with commissioners, IFAs or pre-permanence/pathway planning is a strong advantage
This is a rare chance to shape a service from its foundations, backed by an organisation with an established track record and real ambition to scale.
