At Stretch Life, we specialise in PNF assisted stretching, a clinically proven, pain-free method rooted in 70+ years of medical science that works with both the nervous system and muscular system. Our assisted stretch sessions are one-to-one and genuinely transformative for our clients.
We are a small, growing business, having opened our 3rd London studio in 18 months and we are looking for people who want to be part of something that is genuinely changing people's lives. If you are the kind of person who shows up, cares deeply and wants to grow with a team that will look after you the way you look after your clients, we would love to hear from you.
About the role
You will deliver one-to-one PNF assisted stretch sessions across a range of clients with various movement health goals (from recovering from injury, wanting to move well as they age, perform at their best for fitness and more). Every stretch session is hands-on, structured and ensures the client gets the best outcome for what their body needs. You will get to know our clients, build trust, track their progress and play a real part in how they move and feel over time.
Between sessions you will help keep the studio running well, whether that is keeping the space clean and well stocked, helping clients with bookings or contributing to social content. We are a small, close-knit team and everyone chips in equally.
Who we are looking for
You have a background in hands-on bodywork, such as sports therapy, physiotherapy, osteopathy, kinesiology, sports massage, yoga, dance, martial arts or similar, with a solid grounding in anatomy and physiology. What also matters is that you are genuinely curious about how the body works and hungry to keep learning.
You are naturally warm, clear and confident with people. Clients trust you quickly and you take that seriously. You go the extra mile without being asked because you care about whether the people in front of you actually feel better every single session.
You are reliable, punctual and physically fit, as this is hands-on work and you need the stamina for it. You take pride in consistency and you are in this because you believe in the science behind what we do, not because it is a trend.
You are available for regular evenings and weekends (we open until 8pm Mon-Thu and all day Sat and Sun too to fit around our client's schedules) and you are within easy reach of Kings Cross, Islington and Waterloo. This is a role for someone who wants to commit, grow and stay.
The practical detail
Freelance, you are available for a minimum of 15 up to around 25 hours per week (potential for more hours for those who want), including availability on regular mid-week evenings (to 8pm) and weekends.
Shifts are typically 4 hours+ depending on your stamina and preferences.
Studio hours: Monday to Thursday 10am to 8pm, Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday 10am to 6pm.
Pay ranges from £13.15-£16.15 per hour (up to £33.5k p.a FTE). The lowest tier for non-active hours, with an uplift for active stretch hours. Of course we don't expect you to have many non-active hours.
Outside IR35.
You would work across multiple studios. We're in Kings Cross, Islington, Waterloo.
How to apply
Rather than a CV, we ask you to complete a short form telling us about the experience most relevant to the role, and send a one minute video telling us a little about yourself and why this appeals to you. We read and watch every response personally and will be in touch to arrange next steps.
If successful, you will complete our four day Stretch Life Assisted Stretching Course to qualify as a Stretch Life Therapist, followed by a period of supervised hours before working independently with clients.
We are running a course early Sept so please indicate if you are available to join.
We'll send you the form on application.
Thank you.
