Electroplating Plant Operator (Day Shift & Night Shift)
Company Profile and Introduction:
Anochrome Ltd are a successful plating and surface coatings company based in Walsall. We provide high-quality service to the automotive sector and Tier 1 manufacturers. With IATF accreditation, we operate under Just-In-Time principles, where the pace of work and customer requirements are demanding and relentless.
Anochrome operates a 12-hour shift system on a 4-on,4-off basis, with some weekend work. Please do not apply if this shift pattern is not suitable for you.
Role Overview
- This is a physically demanding role within our electroplating plant.
- Candidates must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work a permanent night shift.
- Full training will be provided. Once you are fully trained, you will transfer to the permanent shift. Previous plating experience would be advantageous.
- Monitor a variety of plating processes and adjust amperage and plating time.
- Perform PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) on a plating plant.
- Work with and support process engineering toward developing plating improvements.
- Support production team efforts in meeting productivity and objectives.
- Ensure that procedures relating to job safety and process control are followed.
- Make chemical additions and make-ups under the technical department's control.
- Handle and process all types of customer parts.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, COSHH and PPE requirements.
- Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced.
- Responsible for a tidy work area.
- Perform quality checks in line with customer specifications.
- Operate and maintain the plating plant with a constant focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Increasing responsibilities with experience.
Pay & Benefits:
- Rates of pay are dependant on age and plating experience.

Qualifications:
- Must be willing and able to accept ongoing training and be able to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Previous chemical and plating experience is required, do not apply unless you have plating experience.
A good work record is essential:
- Must have good transport links to the WS2 area of Walsall.
- Must be prepared to work a 4-on, 4-off rotating shift pattern.
- Some weekend work will be required.
- The role becomes permanent upon successful completion of a 3-month trial period.
- Attendance and timekeeping are a must.
- Must have plating experience.
