You will be working alongside time served operatives
We are seeking skilled Steel Erector to join our team in the factory & on-site. . including ,
- Structural Steel
- Secondary Steel
- Staircase & Platforms
- Mezzanine Floors
- Balustrades & Handrails
This is a physically demanding role that requires experience with power tools, hand tools, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of structures
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal pieces using measuring tape and other marking tools
- Lift, position, and secure metal components into place using cranes or other equipment
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Experience:
- Previous experience as a steel erector or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
Please note that this is a paid position. We offer competitive wages based on experience.
Must have CSCS card
Must have iPAF
Must have Driving Licence
39 hours per week, overtime available also.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
