Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across a commercial premises. This role is suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with a focus on delivering high-quality cleaning services in a professional environment. Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in commercial premises, including dusting, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising touch points.
- Maintain cleanliness of toilets, kitchen facilities, and communal areas to a high standard.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately, following recycling procedures where applicable.
- Complete additional cleaning tasks according to a scheduled cleaning timetable, including duties such as cobweb removal, skirting board cleaning, floor waxing, and other periodic deep-cleaning activities.
- Follow company health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and in accordance with training provided.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks effectively
- Reliable with a professional attitude and good time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety regulations
