About the Role
We're looking for a motivated, creative, and customer-focused individual to join our growing team as a Digital Marketing Assistant.
This is a varied role where digital marketing and content creation are at the heart of what you'll do, helping to promote our business across social media, websites, digital advertising, and multiple divisions including Building Materials, Plumbing & Heating, Machinery, Hire, Waste Services, Groundcare, and more.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to create engaging content, support marketing campaigns, strengthen our online presence, and help showcase our products, services, and customer success stories.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for digital marketing, and can combine creativity with strong organisation and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
- Capture photography and video content to support marketing campaigns, product launches, branch activity, and events.
- Assist with website updates, product promotions, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Support the management and optimisation of Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research and performance monitoring.
- Improve website visibility through SEO best practices and search optimisation.
- Monitor website traffic and campaign performance using Google Analytics and other reporting tools.
- Produce regular reports on campaign performance, engagement, and lead generation.
- Help maintain consistent branding across all company divisions and marketing materials.
- Work closely with branch teams to gather content, promotions, customer success stories, and project updates.
- Assist in producing email campaigns, brochures, leaflets, posters, point-of-sale material, and other promotional content.
- Keep up to date with digital marketing trends and recommend new ideas to improve our online presence.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using social media platforms, content management systems, and digital marketing tools.
- An understanding of, or genuine interest in, digital marketing, Google Ads, SEO, keyword research, and website analytics.
- A creative eye with an interest in content creation, photography, and video.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise work effectively in a busy environment.
- A proactive, positive attitude with the confidence to use your own initiative.
- A friendly and professional approach when working with colleagues across the business.
- Previous experience within a builders' merchant, construction supplies, or a similar industry would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Renumeration will be based on skills, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
