New Formation Education are working with a well-established primary school in Camberwell, South London, to recruit a committed and reliable KS2 Teaching Assistant to start in September. The school is seeking someone who can become a consistent and valued presence within a Key Stage 2 classroom for the full academic year.
What This Role Actually Involves
You’ll be:
- Supporting KS2 pupils who need focused attention to stay on track
- Working 1:1 with children with SEN or behavioural needs
- Leading small group interventions in phonics, literacy, and numeracy
- Helping manage routines, transitions, and classroom behaviour
- Acting as a steady, calm adult presence throughout the school day
You’ll be trusted to build strong relationships with young learners and contribute meaningfully to their early academic development.

- Have worked with children or teenagers in any hands-on capacity (sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, residential care, nursery work, etc.)
- Have an interest in Key Stage 2 education

- Can commit Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm for the full academic year
