Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Coach to join our team at Apex Jiu Jitsu Finsbury Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Kickboxing coaching and a commitment to educating beginners as well as more advanced practitioners. This role is essential for fostering a positive and competitive environment where individuals can thrive and develop their abilities. While Apex Jiu Jitsu is primarily a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy, we offer a range of classes in different disciplines to promote a well-rounded curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual members.
- Educate members on techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport.
- Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring they are engaging, informative, and safe.
- Monitor members' progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and respect among members.
- Maintain open communication with members, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and development.
- Stay updated with the latest coaching techniques and sports developments to continually improve coaching methods.
Qualifications
- Proven experience of at least 3 years of sports coaching or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of the Kickboxing being coached.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively.
- Ability to motivate and inspire members of varying skill levels.
- Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules and competition logistics.
- First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- A passion for sports and a commitment to fostering a positive environment for all participants.
