FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy with the recruitment of a Chartered Building Surveyor.
Permanent position. This role will be based in Manchester.
Salary:
£45,000–£75,000 (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus + professional development support + additional benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad range of professional and project-based building surveying services
- Undertake PPM surveys, condition surveys, technical due diligence and building pathology investigations
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, technical reports and Reinstatement Cost Assessments
- Manage maintenance, repair, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement projects
- Act as Contract Administrator under JCT and SBCC forms of contract
- Prepare Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations
- Provide clear technical advice and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards
Skills & Experience:
- Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Broad experience delivering professional building surveying services
- Strong knowledge of construction technology, building pathology and PPM programmes
- Experience managing refurbishment projects and administering JCT or SBCC contracts
- Strong technical reporting, organisation and client-management skills
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant health and safety legislation
- Competence using Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Proactive, commercially aware and able to manage multiple instructions
- Full UK driving licence
