Job Summary
SOL Sports Coaching is expanding into Barking & Dagenham and we are looking for a motivated, friendly and passionate Sports Coach to join our team. This role will involve delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions within nurseries, primary schools and holiday camps for children aged 3–11.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing coaching business, with initial hours in place and the potential for more to develop as our presence in the area grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fun, engaging and structured sports sessions for children aged 3–11
- Create a positive, supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and enjoyment
- Plan and deliver sessions that help develop teamwork, confidence and fundamental movement skills
- Provide clear guidance, encouragement and constructive feedback
- Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
- Ensure that all activities are delivered safely and in line with safeguarding and health & safety standards
Experience & Requirements
- Must have experience working with children aged 3–11 (nursery, school, club or camp experience all considered)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Positive, enthusiastic personality with the ability to motivate and engage young children
- A genuine passion for sport and helping children grow
- Sports coaching qualifications, PE degrees or similar experience are beneficial, but experience and attitude are just as important
- A DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Hours & Progression
This role will begin with part-time hours (around 7 hours to start).
As SOL Sports Coaching continues to grow in Barking & Dagenham, there will be opportunities to increase hours and responsibility.

Salary
Pay dependent on experience and qualifications – competitive within the local coaching sector.
