Band 3 £29,103 - £31,409 pro rata/per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461 pro rata/per annum
22.5 hours per week
Fixed Term post for 12 months
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Maternity Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support within our maternity team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a healthcare setting and is committed to delivering a high-quality service to women, families, and healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of maternity services, ensuring accurate record keeping, effective communication, and efficient administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the maternity team, including midwives, obstetricians, and managers.
- Manage telephone and email enquiries in a professional and confidential manner.
- Arrange appointments, clinics, and meetings.
- Maintain and update electronic patient records and databases.
- Process referrals and correspondence promptly and accurately.
- Prepare documentation and reports as required, including minute taking.
- Support the coordination of maternity clinics and services.
- Ensure compliance with NHS policies relating to confidentiality, information governance, and data protection.
