Malletts Home Hardware, Truro, one of the UK’s largest independent hardware retailers, with extensive ranges of cookware, giftware, hardware & DIY, housewares, gardening, linens, electrical and tools, is seeking applications for the following vacancies:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our busy store working in the Hardware/DIY and Tool departments.
With experience within a retail customer facing environment, you will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service. A genuine interest in some of our product ranges would also be an advantage. You will be there to deliver excellent customer service and maximise selling opportunities by greeting and supporting customers, responding quickly and efficiently to all customer requests, providing advice and assistance to customers including prompt, friendly service at the checkout, maintaining excellent merchandising standards and ensuring stock is available on the shelf.
You must be presentable, forward thinking and enthusiastic and be self motivated with the ability to work on your own and as a part of a team. You should have a strong attention to detail with a positive, proactive and hands-on approach.
You may also be required to assist in our Goods In department and with deliveries to our customers driving the Company van so you'll need to be comfortable lifting and carrying and have a full UK Driving licence.
Hours 9.15 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Four days per week Monday to Sunday on a fixed rota.
