Job Title: HGV Fleet Operations Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HGV Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of our heavy goods vehicle fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles remain compliant, roadworthy, and efficiently managed while supporting the day-to-day transport operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operation of the HGV fleet.
* Ensure all vehicles are compliant with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements.
* Schedule and monitor vehicle servicing, maintenance, MOTs and inspections.
* Coordinate repairs with external workshops and suppliers.
* Maintain accurate fleet records and compliance documentation.
* Monitor vehicle availability and minimise downtime.
* Work closely with drivers and management to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage fleet costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience managing an HGV fleet or transport operation.
* Good understanding of DVSA regulations and Operator Licence compliance.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* Full UK driving licence (HGV licence is an advantage but not essential).
